Our goal for Chef Luciano's re-brand was two fold. One, to help freshen up the brand to stand out as the surrounding Motor Row neighborhood is going through a major overhaul and is becoming one of Chicago's biggest areas of commercial growth. Two, we wanted to help simplify the experience for both new customers as well as previous patrons. Since there were two unique sides, serving different menus in the same space it was a bit confusing.

Start from scratch like they do in the kitchen
We worked closely with the owners to craft a new visual branding language that was true to their roots. We wanted to lighten up the restaurant's atmosphere while keeping the essence of what was in the space already. We introduced a new visual brand icon as well as a deli-inspired visual language that works well for the casual environment.

Which way do i go?
To the right, Chicken; to the left, Kitchen. We've been coming to the restaurant for 10 years and we were even scratching our heads. We finally made sense and color blocked things out to direct people to the area that they were looking for as well as enticed them with nice clear signage. The exterior of the building was painted white to add additional curb appeal, and new signage help setoff the newly minted brand.

It was apparent from day one that Lee and his team were going to bring a unique and fresh perspective to our project, which was much needed. UnitOneNine took the time to present us with multiple options and review what worked and didn't work. They were not afraid to push our comfort zone, and the end result has been fantastic. We have gotten great feedback both from our long time customers along with new faces that finally feel comfortable coming in.
