April 2019 was the official launch and the largest launch of any CBD product to date. We had the opportunity to work with the Cannuka team to really get to know and understand their products and processes. Our first goal was to revamp their digital presence and help move the creative direction forward for the company leading up to their big launch in over 1200 stores nationwide.

Educate, build trust and lead the pack in the CBD game.
We started by researching this new and evolving market in order to define exactly who Cannuka’s target personas are and then craft a visual design language that engages and appeals to that market. Education is also key for any new product, especially skincare and those that have to do with cannabis. We focused on the ingredients since the "weed" taboo is still present for the majority of the people we polled. The result was an educational experience across all touchpoints and an elevated design direction suitable for a national brand launch in one of the fastest-growing markets in the world.


Elevate the brand and simplify the e-comm experience.
Our goal for the digital experience was to elevate the brand and create an e-commerce user experience that sells products. We kept the shop heightened in the navigation to allow it to be a primary focus and implemented multiple CTA’s and transportation mechanisms throughout the site. The direction for style and tone is calming, fresh, natural and feminine which we used as our inspiration for typography, palette and texture.
We structured the digital experience in line with our tenets of education, ease of use and elevated brand perception. The primary goal is to present our potential buyers with the appropriate information at the appropriate time which is key to creating effective pathways for conversion. Second, we dialed up the art direction and asset creation and focused on telling a compelling brand story.
